Maryknoll Therapeutic Community Service Plan

The Objective

The overarching project goal was to develop a service plan for Windana’s residential rehabilitation service at Maryknoll that addresses future statewide service needs, aligns with government policy objectives and is consistent with Windana’s strategic context.

Our Approach

The project approach involved:

• Undertaking a current state analysis including a review of government policy directions, Windana’s strategic planning context, assessment of trends in service utilisation and key service model components.
• Analysing drivers of future service demand, assessing residential rehabilitation capacity, and modeling future scenarios, including recommendations from the Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System and co-location of AOD detox and rehabilitation services
• Conducting stakeholder consultations to gather perspectives on both current and future service challenges.

The Outcomes

The service plan recommended key service development priorities along with enablers for Windana’s residential rehabilitation service at Maryknoll to address the future service demand.
