The Objective
The aim of the review was to assess the service model for the medical centre and to identify opportunities for enhanced efficiency to achieve financial sustainability.
Our Approach
The project involved:
- A review of the current service delivery model and workforce mix and a gap analysis of the current state relative to best practice
- A review of the current financial sustainability of the service model for the medical centre; and
- Assessment of options for operational management, inclusive of workforce roles, reporting lines and clinical governance of primary health care and counselling services and development of a preferred integrated service model to align with QUT’s priorities and to optimse primary care and counselling services.
The Outcomes
Aspex delivered a report that provided a practical and implementable strategy for integrated provision of contemporary primary health care, primary mental health care and counselling services to optimally meet the needs of students and staff.
