The Objective
The project aimed to develop a basis for a more operationally effective and efficient community dental services operated by Latrobe Community Health Services by reviewing current operations and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Our Approach
The approach for the operational review involved:
• Consolidating and building on internal analysis of the current state of dental services and issues as well as conducting additional analysis.
• Engaging in staff and management consultations to identify strategic and operational challenges.
• Synthesising quantitative and qualitative data to develop actionable strategies that consider service profile, site locations, alternative service models, workforce efficiency, administrative processes, and financial sustainability
The Outcomes
The project identified opportunities to improve the sustainability of dental services by reducing the operating deficit, enhancing current and developing new service models, and increasing operational efficiency.
