Medical Centres Review

The Objective

To assist Alpine Resorts Victoria (ARV) in developing a strategy for the financially sustainable provision of medical services at the three main alpine resorts of Mt Buller, Mt Hotham and Falls Creek.

Our Approach

The project involved reviewing current policy settings and service delivery arrangements to understand the issues and barriers to fi nancial sustainability. Stakeholder consultations were undertaken with medical centre providers in Victoria’s Alpine context and the NSW Alpine context. Aspex reviewed existing delivery models and options for service provision to achieve sustainability. Scenarios were modelled to assess a range of financial outcomes based on alternative operating models and funding streams.

The Outcomes

The Aspex report provided an independent assessment of the current and future state, recommendations on suitable models and a clear implementation plan.
